Fender
When the Fender Player Newporter first arrived, I thought someone had confused the setup with a medieval torture device, the action was criminal, suitable only for those whose musical tastes peak with Coldplay. It was nearly unplayable. However, after a necessary and frankly overdue professional setup (the kind of competence I demand from my gear), this guitar revealed its true, charmingly rebellious nature. Its slim, electric-friendly neck and vibrant, mid-forward tone make it a fantastic, genuinely fun acoustic for the Forever Intermediate player. It’s not flawless out of the box, but if you’re willing to give it the maintenance it deserves, it becomes a sharp, unconventional, and highly recommended workhorse.
